T-Ball Recycling & More

2/24/24 Update:

Here is the picture of one of the re-pressurizing machines the Scott’s use.  This holds 400 tennis balls.  Each week I replace all the balls in our ball machine, which holds 200 balls.  Last week’s balls are then sent to the recycle center.

9/11/23 Congrats Chris, you are way ahead of the curve.

3/1/23 Update: About 3 weeks ago, Chris and his wife started picking up and digging through the trash cans at the softball field.  He said, “The numbers are HUGE, over 1,600 aluminum cans and 1,050 plastic bottles.”

Each night they visit every sports facility and, unlike tennis, they dig through the trash cans and remove all recyclable materials.

Unfortunately, at this time, the community will not purchase recycling containers.  But, on the bright side, a softball couple, just gave them $500.00 to buy 2 recycling containers for the softball field,, ,Way to go softball!!!!

1/1/23 Update: Under direction of past President Chris Scott, earlier 2021, the club started recycling tennis balls. That has now expanded to the entire tennis ball can and water bottles:
